TechRadar is reporting that some analysts have said that DVB-H Mobile TV could actually succeed! Yes, that’s what we like to hear!
Apparently Frost and Sullivan (a well-known research company) has published result of a survey saying that (a) DVB-H will become the standard by 2010, and (b) the industry will then be worth …. wait for it … £5.4bn!
Interestingly, they also say that it’s subscriptions that are going to bring the cash in - but here’s my thing - are people going to be comfortable with the “Mobile” model of paying monthly, or will they expect the (Ad-supported) “Free” viewing model they are used to with (at least) terrestrial TV….?

Well, I am sitting firmly on the fence with the likelihood of DVB-H succeeding, since there are a lot of disruptive technologies in the same space …
