Rumors have been circulating about a new music phone from Motorola. The phone in question, identified as the Motorola ROKR E8, is apparently set to launch in Europe by the 4th quarter of this year, if not then the 1st quarter of 2008. Well, it’ll come out soon. The E8 features a backlit keypad which only displays controls relevant to the function you are currently using, haptic controls which gives you vibration feedback each time you press a key, and an interestingly different navigation tool called the Omega wheel. One might assume that it’s called as such because it is shaped similar to the last letter of the greek alphabet, Omega. The E8 is a GSM/GPRS handset which also sports a 2 megapixel camera, 262k color QVGA display, 2 GB of onboard memory with an option for expansion via microSD card slot, FM tuner and 3.5 mm headphone jack. Pricing is projected at 280 Euro. Written by Kiven Source from cellphonenews.com
